Right to Service Act – Grama Panchayat, Kerala
The Kerala State Right to Service Act, 2012 was enacted to ensure the time-bound delivery of government services to the public in Kerala. Under this Act, local self-government institutions, including Grama Panchayats, are bound to provide designated services within specified time limits.

- Right to receive an acknowledgment receipt upon submitting a service application

- Right to receive written communication stating reasons if an application is rejected
- Right to file an appeal in case of delay or denial of services
Appellate Mechanism
First Appeal
If a service is not provided within the specified time or if an application is rejected, an appeal can be submitted to the designated First Appellate Authority.
Second Appeal
If a satisfactory resolution is not obtained from the First Appellate Authority, a Second Appeal can be filed with the Higher Appellate Authority.
